Play Date, San Antonio, Rolling Over, Company...

The last couple of weeks have been action packed! Luke had his first play date at the local aquarium. He preferred watching the people rather than looking at the fish, but he was so well behaved and loved his new friends.

Getting acquainted

Then Luke and I took a trip to San Antonio for a visit with Grammy (my mom), Grandpa (my dad), Aunt Roz and her boyfriend Nick. While we were there, Luke rolled over completely and propped himself up on his arms for the first time! He was so proud of himself - when he lifted his head, he just screamed with glee! It was too cute. You might be wondering if he is a little late rolling over, and according to the "typical" age, the answer is yes. But then Luke doesn't have the "typical" size legs either. He has been able to twist his upper body over for a a couple of months, but he never could quite get his legs to follow. He finally got the hang of throwing one leg over the other, but then his arm would get stuck underneath him. I tell you, he certainly has the hang of it now and it makes changing his diaper a bit more challenging:) Way to go Luke!

Don't worry - I've got this!

Aunt Roz and Nick
Grammy came back with Luke and I and then Grandpa came to pick her up and hang out over the weekend. I was able to catch up on some work - THANK YOU MOM!!! - and we really enjoyed our visit. Our good friend Kevin also came to stay for the weekend to add to the fun! The guys took in the boat show and the girls cooked some jambalaya. Bryan came home with the cutest Sperry top siders (deck shoes) for Luke. He will have to grow into them, but it will be worth the wait - they are adorable! It was a great weekend with family and friends!
