Two Weeks Too Long

I will try to keep this entry as short as possible, but just so I can remember later, here is a summary of the last two weeks...

Luke may or may not be teething. Clear as mud, right? It started a couple of weeks ago with him waking throughout the night crying. I mean every thirty minutes to every hour. All night. For over a week. We thought it was perhaps a result of moving him to his own room (another big one for the last two or three weeks), but even if he slept in the same room or in the bed with us, he would still wake throughout the night upset. The same thing would happen with his daytime naps - he just seemed like he was in pain. Finally this week he has had good solid nights of sleep, but then he began refusing his baby food, including fruit - his fave. Today he ate two out of three meals, so maybe he is feeling better. He is biting super hard on his teethers, but we haven't noticed any changes with his gums. Orajel seems to help but wears off quickly. Otherwise, he is great!

Luke turned 7 months old on the 14th. According to our home scale, which is usually within 0.5 pounds of the doctor's scale, Luke weighs in at 25 pounds. My lower back would argue he is at least 40 pounds, especially at the day's end! He is wearing 24 month clothes now and jumping is still his favorite thing to do. He recently started to sway from side to side when he wants a break from jumping, but then it is back to business. He even tries to jump while in a sitting position when we rest him on our knee. We spend quite a bit of time on the floor, but he really isn't making any crawling moves yet. It almost seems like he would rather walk. He does enjoy sitting and playing with his toys, banging them together, and of course tasting them all!

Aaahhh...my favorite thing Luke started doing...giving hugs and kisses! He will grab your face or neck with both hands and come towards you with his mouth wide open and plant one on you where ever he makes contact. They are the sweetest kisses in the world! When he gives hugs, he wraps his hands around your neck and buries his face in your neck. I love it!

Sitting in his baby wipes box. We buy in bulk.

Luke loves the computer, especially the TAB key. He detached the key and I broke the plastic off the back while trying to reattach it.
Newer computer = No replacement keys or plastic piece at the shop = $130 for new keyboard. Yikes!

He is a wiggle worm. I promise we didn't put him in the crib this way. His new trick is to spin 180 degrees in his sleep so he wakes up with his head facing the opposite direction.
