San Antonio Zoo and Christmas with Grammy and Grandpa

We celebrated Christmas with Grammy and Grandpa this year in San Antonio the weekend before Christmas. We took Luke to the zoo for the first time and he was so precious! He would check out an animal, wave good bye, then RUN to the next cage. He literally ran around the zoo the entire time we were there, though we did manage to get him to take a couple of drink breaks in his stroller. After we saw all of the animals, we popped into the gift shop where Luke found a tiger stuffed animal (tigers are his new favorite animal besides dogs) that Grandpa bought for him. It was so sweet - he wouldn't stop hugging that tiger and even cried when we the clerk had to scan the tag. So, with tiger in tow, we went for a 20 minute train ride around the park that is adjacent to the zoo. The name of the train was the LukeyJ - how neat is that? Luke absolutely loves trains and it was love at first sight! He was a great passenger and wasn't even scared when we went through a dark tunnel. He was so exhausted from all of the running that he did, poor Luke fell asleep about two minutes before the end of the ride. After a nice long nap, we exchanged some gifts and spent the rest of the evening watching Luke play on his new slide. It was a great weekend!
