Trip to Virginia Day 1: Luke Earns His Wings

My parents, Luke and I took a trip to Virginia to see my brother Alex and it required flying (Bryan wasn't able to go). This was Luke's first flight, not including when I was pregnant, and he did great! He actually slept during take off and for about an hour of the first flight. He didn't even need to play with any of the 100 toys I carried on the plane - he had plenty of things to keep him occupied, including the window shade and the tray table. Luckily, the seat in front of him was vacant because it didn't take him long to learn how to lower the table and he continued to do this over and over.

Luke was particularly interested in looking out the window when we were descending. He is so curious and didn't want to miss anything! Oh, and my worst fear didn't come true - - - I thought for sure he would have a dirty, stinky diaper on the plane, but he didn't until we were in the airport waiting for our connecting flight in Baltimore before doing his business. I don't ever remember being so excited about a stinky diaper!!!

He is clapping...excited to be flying perhaps?
